Yes, they are brass. Around $300.00 ea US. Available in 2 styles: CW-6 
& CW-7 factory painted with 4 road numbers in each style. 

You might want to check out LaBelle Woodworking's kit version. Seem to 
recall it was $75.00 w/o trucks & couplers.
