Please Visit our website, we are a 4 year old Non-Profit Historical
Foundation. Currently we are rebuilding the T&BV (Trinity and Brazos
Valley Depot) and restoring the 3417 Locomotive to running condition.
See many pictures on our Website.
Recently we aquired 2 Ft Worth and Denver cabooses that were retired
by BN in the early 70's These Cabooses are unique in that they were
built before 1900 and are all wood.
The 3417 is a coal burner built in 1919 by Baldwin Locomotive works
she was converted to an Oil Burner she is a 4-6-2 Pacific. Her regular
run was from Cleburne to Purcell OK, During WWII she carried troop
trains over the Gabriel Mountains to CA. We have removed the asbesto's
from her boiler jacket completed assessments of her boiler and she is
in great shape. it is esitmated that it will take 300K and 35K
volunteer hours to restore to her own steam. currently our next phase
is to move her to a location where we can begin the boiler work
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Currently we are raising funds to complete this work. on our website
we have several items. Hats and books are listed now Pins and T-shirts

Internet if we can get each person that see's this to send 1 US Dollar

and preserve another piece of Railroad history.
