FYI.
Weaver Models (www.weavermodels.com, 507-473-9434) has announced
O-scale CB&Q flat cars with pipe loads in both 3-rail and 2-rail.
These are in the pre-merger green/white paint scheme, are available in
4 separate road numbers, and run on O-42 or larger curves. The 3-rail
cars are MSRP $45 with die-cast couplers/trucks, or MSRP $35 with
plastic couplers/trucks. I can not tell from the catalog what the MSRP
for 2-rail is.
Weaver also has these flat cars in BN with similar specifics.
Weaver also has announced CB&Q 4-bay coal hopper (O-31 curves) in
black paint with 12 different road numbers for MSRP $34 each (plastic
trucks) and MSRP $44 (die-cast trucks). 2-rail are also available,
but I am not sure on pricing.
McDonald Models of Waterloo, IA (319-233-0545) has O-scale billboards
with ads for Denver Zephyr, GN Glacier Park via Empire Builder &
Western Star, UP wartime freight, and CNW 400 streamliners. These are
$12 each ($11 if 2 or more ordered). See ad on page 30 of the 05/2001
Classic Toy Trains.

PS - Thanks to all involved with the organization, set-up/take-down,
and presentations at the Mendota 2001 Sping Meet. I enjoyed all the
presentations, clinics, the dinner (excellent!), and Mendota's RR and
Hume-Carnigie Museums. It was nice seeing the models, especially the
O-gauge K-Line California Zephyr and the custom decorated Albertville
depot in red/green. The swap meet was great; I made a few monetary
sacrifices to Zephyrus for some great books & timetables. (Was the 40
mph plus wind that day simply a manifestation of Zephyrus' presence at
the Meet?)
