Actually, I believe #1522 made its very first excursion runs over the WC out
of Schiller Park up to Fon dul Lac and back sometime in 1988(?). The steamer
traveled over the CNW northbound with a diesel in the lead if I recall
correctly. The engine mentioned traveling through Savanna last year was
#261. It would have been in transit to and from Chicago to run excursions to
Galesburg in May, 2000. When #261 travels through Thomson it's on the way to
and from Galesburg in June for Railroad Days. Has anyone heard what engines
might be at Galesburg in June for Railroad Days. I'm guessing the NZ might
be there. #1522 will be busy in St. Louis for the NRHS convention I think.
