Subject: [BRHSlist] Mendota Spring Meet
The BRHS Spring Meet will be held on Saturday, April 7th, at the Mendota
Civic Center. The address is 1901 Tom Merwin Drive in Mendota. The Meet
will start at 10:00am and run until 10:00 pm. Vendors can start setting
up at 8:00am. The Meet will include the standard swap meet, clinics,
panel discussions with retired railroaders from both the CB&Q and Milw
Road. Dinner will be a buffet and the after dinner slide presentation
(arranged by our Ed DeRouin) will feature the work of several well known
photographers.
Admission is as follows:
First Class (All day plus dinner) adults - $23.00 (if you register prior
to 3-25-01)
First Class (All day plus dinner) child under 12 - $18.00 (prior to
3-25-01)
If you register after 3-25-01, the adult cost is $27.00 and the child is
$23.00.
Coach - Includes show plus clinics but no dinner:
Adults $5.00
Child (5-12) $1.00
Child (Under 4) FREE
Swap Meet tables are $10.00 per each 8' long table.
The BRHS has arranged for a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn in Mendota
(at the intersection of US 34 and I-39). Call and ask for Liz at (815)
538-3355. Rooms are limited, so call early. The BRHS rate is $60.95
plus tax for a double and $55.95 for a single.
The registration form will be included with the ZEPHYR which will be
mailed this week from St. Louis. Please wait for the registration forms,
but if you need a motel room make your reservations as soons as possible.
