Dave and all concerned, I have that deck of cards myself, and I
believe they date back to the turn of the century or a little
earlier. I should clarify that remark, because we just experienced a
very recent turn of the century. So I will say that I believe they
are over a hundred years old. Mine are red and white in color and
have a fancy intertwined CB&Q logo all around the card. As I
remember, the Ace of Diamonds has a Burlington Route logo in the
center diamond. There is a book out that serious collectors of
playing cards are familiar with that identifies decks of cards from
many different railroads but I'm not sure what it is called. Maybe
someone who is familiar with this book can help out because I will
confess that my estimate is just an educated guess. Hope this sheds
some light on a neat old deck of cards. Archie Hayden
