All, I had the chance to see it when it was nothing more than bare
countryside and I was impressed then. Dave, glad to hear that the track
gangs and the front office folks working deals is going well.

From aboard the Business car Burlington:
Just wanted to report that the negotiations with the Moehn Brewery went
extremely well today. They have agreed to locate their new brewery along
our tracks at the start of the grade on the West Burlington Hill. We will
provide a private siding to bring in shipments of coal, grain, malt and
bottles and handle reefers of their product to the Chicago/St. Louis
distributors. Fortunately, the new brewery is closely located to the Heil
Ice Company for convenient loading of ice in the reefers.
By the way...this is the Burlington & Missouri RIVER Rail Road...I'm not
sure why the confusion with this Valley line.... :-)
Also, for those who may not be aware...the B&MRR is located in my basement
in St. Louis, MO. I'm hoping to have the golden spike driven and trains
operating over the entire line between Galesburg & Creston by June of next
year. NMRA National Convention "Gateway 2001" will be in STL July 8-15,
2001. (Shameless plug).
