Karl, the industries you reference were: Michaels/Harral coal,Rausch coal at
the stub that ran along main 3 on the elevation. Down at street level on the
"middle" trk was Mall Lumber who trucked their lumber over to the yard off
Broadway. For a time there was a bulk oil dealer on the trk nearest Lincoln
Ave. but the name won't register right now. In later years Kane County
Concrete was down in that hole and received cars of cement in those unique
whale belly cars. I believe it was LaSalle/Ogelsby cement but not sure which
