My wife's father, who recently passed away, worked for Burlington Northern
for many years. Among the many railroad momentos he left as was a small
brass paperweight with the lettering "THE BOAM COMPANY" and a relief of a
wood burning locomotive with a plaque titling it the "RAPID". Our question
is what was the BOAM company. Any insights appreciated.
