Karl, If you remember, spotting wasn't the only problem. Stopping and starting was also a delight. Trying to spot a car on those tallow covered rails that were immune to sanding was fun, but trying to start back out with a full track was even better, with the wheels slipping until you hit semi dry rail outside the fence. Walking was always an adventure when you headed for the cafeteria for lunch. Try using a bar of Dial soap, and the first thing you notice is the tallow smell. Gary O. |
