On the C&S Northern Division, 36 trains run under the authority of handwritten clearances and train orders– ten of them as extra trains.  And the Dispatcher is at the center of it all.

 

Working closely with the Station Operator, the two set the tempo of railroad operation – and determine its success or failure.  Can they meet the challenges of a sunny morning in June, 1958?
