Bill,

I am sure you will get a lot of replies. The one think I believe is that the lettering on the hood should be "Everywhere West" not the block BURLINGTON lettering.

HI All, I am back after a spell away from my trains.  My son has a massive G scale outdoor layout and models the full California Zephyr and has all the WP DRGW and Q motive power.  I model the same era hood unit diesels.  

My questions probably were answered in the past on the forum but I could not find them after many failed searches. so I need a little help.

 

Which diesels were purchased new in the Chinese Red paint?

 

Is there a record of the GP and SD road numbers repainted in Chinese Red if so where?  or anybody have a list? 

 

Is the G Scale GP7 no 268 from USA Trains with the semi BlackBird scheme Black cab roof, white hash tags on the bottom sill, dynamic brakes and the Billboard "Burlington" White on the long hood an actual correct paint job for the Loco? If not I will repaint to the standard Blackbird paint. Anyone have a prototype photo of the 268?.
