I too enjoyed attending the BRHS Spring Meet in Ottawa.

Thanks to all who were involved in putting this meet together.

It's a tough pill to swallow that this was the last spring meet of the BRHS but I completely understand the situation.

This makes the Fall Meet of the BRHS even more important.

So clear your calendars for September 10-12, 2026 and see you in Burlington, Iowa.

A big thanks to the crew that put together the Ottawa meet.  The train show was good, as were the clinics and evening program.  The best part was getting the chance to catch up with other BRHS members and meet a few new people.  It was a really good time.

 

After the clinics several of us got to take a walking tour of the right of way with former Ottawa native Eric Mumper and got to see the structures and the physical layout of the Q in Ottawa.  The depot is still used and is in good shape.  We were able to peek in the windows and saw the tile sides and the "Tickets" sign from back in the Q days.  It was fun.
