Most people on this list probably know that for many years the Burlington ran trains from Kansas City to Seattle via connection with the Northern Pacific at Billings, and for fewer years it ran trains from Kansas City to Seattle via connection with the Great Northern at Billings. For a short time, the Great Northern train was called the Adventureland and the Northern Pacific train was called the General Custer.

Does anyone know if Burlington ever gave any consideration to running a Puget Sound Zephyr from Kansas City to Seattle over one or both of its parent railroads?
