For the non BRHS members who might have interest in the disastrous Montgomery wreck and want to learn all the details go to Burlingtonroute.org which is the Burlington Route Historical Society site. Then go to the company store, then Bulletins and find number 65 and order it.

I think this tower was involved with the head on collision of a Burlington passenger train going west and a Rock Island passenger train going east coming off the Fox River branch in the 1960’s.
