Mark, Your memory is good, Nickel Plate did, indeed, import a Q R-1. It looks like they sent some back to Japan and had them factory painted and brought them back as the "G Series" At one time, Oriental Limited had announced that they were going to import both Pacific's and Prairies, but they never did. A real shame. Rich G

Thanks Rich. I think Nickel Plate Products imported a model of an R-1 (BrassTrains.com had one at some point), but those are pretty rare, I think. I can't find one of those available anywhere. And I'd much prefer the R-4 anyway. But if nobody's ever made one... _._,_._,_
