Thanks for the info.  My two are from that second batch.  

So.  How do you turn the red lights on/off?  I THINK I tried all the possible variations, but...

As an example:  I've got some of the Athearn UP cabooses with the red/green lights on the cupola ends.  The green lights are controlled by F3 and F4.  But the red lights are controlled by F0, with the illumination dependent of the direction of the caboose.  Pretty neat, really.
