I can't be sure in this particular photo, but I've seen photos of these cars on the Q where the PRR lettering was visible. It was my understanding that a number of the R50 express reefers were rebuilt as conventional express/storage mail cars,
but my knowledge of the Pennsy is sadly lacking, so this may not be correct. Certainly none of the cars in the photos I'm aware of are express reefers.

Are you sure that is a PRR car?
I know B&O had some single door express cars about that size, but the only PRR cars I know of that have the right general shape are the R50 express reefers ( and their variations of the R50… ) but those have ice hatches on the roofs and the doors are flush
to the car sides, not recessed….
