Simply my feeling is the small, square, slate sided depot would have been in place by the 50s. But there was a motor car carrying passengers a couple years into the 50s so I could be wrong. It did not have a platform when I saw it, just steps leading to the office. In order to confirm use the aerial sites being recommended on this list to determine if the change over can be identified.

A track diagram would indicate the location of the depot at the time of drawing. My research and memory indicate the earlier depot was east of where the newer depot was located.

Would you have any idea what year the change was made? I have been looking into making some modules of Yorkville as it would have looked in the 1950's

The photos I’ve found of the early Yorkville,IL depot while researching the Fox River branch, seem to indicate a standard design.
The final depot that lasted into the 1970s was a more unique downsized design.

BRHS member, Tim Fleck, scanned the depot diagrams from the Engineer’s Office and sent them to me as the BRHS Editor.  I checked and Wyoming and Yorkville do not have their own diagrams.  Most likely they would be covered by one of the “standard” design drawings.

Would have a sheet like this on either the Wyoming, IL or Yorkville, IL depots?

While this scan is not of the depot you are looking for it shows what the street side of the slide would look like.

That is one problem with modeling buildings.  You never see all for sides and the roof of a building so you never know what is on the unseen side.  I try and shoot all sides of what I am shooting if possible.

Dale,

There was a guy on the CB&Q Facebook page a couple of months ago that has a book with blueprints of all CB&Q depots which should include Meadville. Although not a photo, it might help fill in some blanks.

Dale,

Unfortunately, we only have one photo of the Meadville, MO depot in the BRHS Flickr gallery and it was taken from the track side. So, no help.
