All-
I have asked this in the past but perhaps somebody new might have the information I need….
Back in the late 60s or early 70s the Little Q Model Railroad Club in Aurora, IL had swap sessions.
At one of them there was a photo of a NYC Hudson on the CB&Q track elevation through Aurora. I don’t recall if the Q dynamometer car was behind it but I truly wish I had purchased the print.
Is there anything in the “Know Thy Hudsons” book on the subject of Js being loaned out for testing to other railroads? I know the CB&Q did borrow other lines power for evaluation (PRR 4-4-2, GN 4-6-0 around 1905 for example).
