I don't know that the flatcars were "standard."  The airplane parts weren't in containers but rode on the cars themselves, with a so-called "canopy" covering them.  The canopies served no structural purpose and were used simply for weatherproofing and damage protection for the loads.  They were also in a variety of different sizes and shapes depending upon the parts or assemblies that they were protecting.  The vast majority of photos I've seen of these "canopy cars" were flatcars in the GN 607XX series and SP 598XX series which I think were either purpose-built or specifically modified to carry the Boeing loads and their protective canopies.

A book you might be interested in is "Shipping Planes on Trains, Vol. 3" by Andrew Klamka (akb777@att.net) which contains a wealth of photos and in-depth information regarding the 747 components (and parts for other contemporary commercial and military aircraft) that were shipped by rail.  It does include a not-so-great photo of a Boeing canopy on CB&Q flatcar 91901.

I noticed the Hill Roads had special cars for Boeing 747s parts. Boeing containers mounted on standard flat cars.

SInce the B747 was introduced in 1966, wondering if the Q versions would have been that early. Also, does anyone know of any plans?

Thanks
