My references show this picture to be taken at Red Oak, IA, Monday September 9,1935 by Bernard Corbin (Hol Wagner collection). Dynamometer car is CB&Q #30 and Office Car CB&Q #88 assigned to Superintendent of Motive Power (Lines East), O.E. Ward. Believed to be a test train hauling drop-bottom gons filled with rip-rap.
BB #13, p.22, BB #24, p.76 and previous e-mail exchanges with Group members Bill Barber and Louis Zadnichek were my references.
I have no further information.
