When I was typing up the Dome cars post, I accidentally put the line saying the dome car in the wrong paragraph. Corrected post: The Northern Pacific Dome car "Homestake Pass" will be leased for one year. The car will be intended for First Class service on the "Duluth Zephyr," formerly called the Lester River Train, and will run daily for 90-minute trips. It will also be used on dinner trains, charters, and other special event trains. The NSSR now owns the CB&Q "Silver Club" Dome car. It is currently at the 261 shop in Minneapolis for some work. In April it will be shipped to Duluth for finishing restoration work. When complete, it will also be used on trains on the NSSR.
