While on the subject of the Diner Parlor Observation Cars note that either the Silver Spirit or the Silver Star (the two cars with the nameboard split  by the middle entry doors that read “Burlington [  ]  Zephyr” instead of the single “Burlington [  ] or  [  ] Burlington forward of the doors” on the Silver Fountain and Silver Hours) was displayed at the 1939 New York World’s Fair by the Budd Company. 

A photo of the car on display with the Budd Company lettering appears in a softcover book on dining cars but I didn’t buy it for the one photo.

(of course the entire consist of the Silver Streak is available in N Scale AND the prewar Diner as well…(nah nah na nah nah na!!!))
