The roundhouse was located west of 1st ave and south of the tracks.  There is 
still a track there called the Grease Track (although it is a more modern 
addition I think and not the actual turn table lead?).  Coming down Rt. 34 
you'll see tank cars parked on the track.  Some of the foundation of the RH is 
actually still visible especially looking north from Rt. 34.

If you want a way to waste days of your life, check out the Illinois 
geographical survey's archive of historic aerial photographs.  It's like google 
earth from 1939 to 41 thereabouts.  The resolution is not real great to try to 
get individual tracks (although you can count box cars) but it gives a real 
great reference to right of ways and where buildings were located ect.
