I received a flyer from NKP Car Co that they will be doing HO car kits
for the Pullman (leased and CB&Q purchased) "Tower" series as well as
the "Clover" series. I have looked at the pictures in Bill Glick's book
as well as other books. There was a discussion thread on these cars
about a year ago, but question that really was not answered was were
decals available for these cars?
As was noted previously, these cars once the Q purchased them (and they
were still under Pullman lease) had PULLMAN in the Zephyr lettering on
the letter board with the name of the car also in Zephyr lettering. Bill
Glick's book shows several different car series with this type
lettering. The Microscale CB&Q heavyweight decal set (which I have) does
not have the proper lettering for these cars. I have an portions of an
old Champ CB&Q Passenger Car decal set and it does not appear to have
the correct lettering either.
So if anyone has previously built and lettered these cars, how did they
do so?
