Thank you for the info on NIFA on the cash fare receipts. Turns out that while
I did not remember it correctly (hey, it has ONLY been 42 years since the
merger), it is nice to know that I was not dreaming.
Am looking forward to the article on NIFA. That line (and its history and
photos) is hard to come by. What little I have is due to a map in the series
AURORA-EGLIN AREA STREETCARS & INTERURBANS, by Hopkins Stolp Peffers. Recently,
a fellow was kind enough to send me a map of the Aurora-Geneva area --
highlighting where the line operated. Am waiting for the snow/cold to subside a
bit before looking for remnants.
