If you need to know the mileage between depots within a railroad's boundaries, there are tables for many railroads in the 1919 book "All About Tank Cars" (Standard Car Construction Co.) at  
CB&Q distances on book pages 69-74, C&S on book page 102, FW&D on book pages 116-7

After the tables, there is a history of the company, description of its works, MCB / FSA / ICC specifications and requirements for different types of tanks, trucks, etc. (page 313) classifications (page 337) stencilling diagrams (page 385) The index is on page 400.  There are also two prints of SCCX 1919 following page 306. I don't know how long the MCB specifications remained valid.
