Folks, Ive come across a photo of a CB&Q locomotive #35 which appears to be an
American 4-4-0 and a H&StJoe mail car. The photo is in a book by Ken and Lisa
Marks "Hannibal Missouri a Brief History" and is a reprint of an original from
the Hannibal Free Public Library. There is an enitre section devoted to the
H&StJoe. It also discusses the Civil War era in this section. Can anyone in
the group tell me any information concerning this photo? I am particularly
interested in the origin of #35 and it's paint scheme. Do you know if there are
blueprints/drawings for her? I believe the mail car's colors are Q-yellow/tan
and the striping is dark brown. Is that correct as well?
John
