Every "foreign" unit I had was set up basically the same as BN's (in 1970's).

In a similar vein to the recent issue of crew testing or qualification for
transfers, was any training necessary for operating foreign power on CD and
similar trains? Were there differences in the cab set-ups between roads or was
it a case of "if you can drive a car, you can drive any car"?
