Larry, Wonderful photos ! Your two shots "In the clear" and "possibly
Mendota again" of the Q GP7.... 255 are taken at Rochelle,IL.Your looking east
from the depot platform. The 255 is in what we referred to as "the Pocket" Its
between 2 switches off main #1. The road switchers tied up at that spot between
shifts. The track to the far right coming off main 2 was called the "Kennedy".
If this were Mendota to the right would be stock yards and an elevator. Also
if it was Mendota to the left would be the "North" yard. Spent a lot of time
in Rochelle during the 70's from 6PM to 6AM. Leo Phillipp
