Corbin's book "Burlington in Transition" has a page of front and rear ends of
the Zephyr fleet. Thid will illustrate what was used instead of drumheads.

Thanks for all the responses to my question regarding Double Drum Heads. As a
follow-up, does anyone have information as to when Burlington started
illuminating drum heads and which Burlington routes or named trains were
illuminated? Thank you.
