Rupert:
I've encountered conflicting reports, but it was sometime during the 1890s,
although they already had many "Pullman" green cars by the late 1890s. I put
"Pullman" in quotes because the olive green used by the Q for passenger
equipment was most definitely not the same color used by Pullman for its fleet
(which had switched from red to green in the 1880s). The Q color had a good
deal more brown in it and was lighter than Pullman's version.
