For several years post-BN merger, CB&Q could still be found in both white &
yellow pages of phone books, on maps and of course on street name signs (some
of those will be around forever). However 41 years have gone by & finding CB&Q
in a current document seems impossible until to my surprise I was looking at
the official Iowa 2011 Fishing Regulations booklet. It spells out in detail
where a fisherman with an Iowa or an adjacent state's license can legally fish
in border waters. For the Iowa-Wisconsin area it states one can fish between
the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul Pacific tracks on the west to the Chicago,
Burlington & Quincy tracks to the east. A closet rail fan in Iowa's DNR? A
very young railfan will have a hard time figuring what to do about BNSF & CP
rightof-ways! Gerald
