Yes, I've checked the color chips published in The Zephyr and other
references, and there isn't much agreement on which hobby paints best
approximate the 'true' colors. I guess it all comes down to individual
layout lighting and personal taste. Rob Manley told me "if it looks right to
you, then nobody can argue with you".

The Publications Index on the BRHS web site (and downloadable from the Files
section for this group) includes a location reference
to both Zephyr Questions and, if anyone provided a response, Answers. In
this case, the Answer was given in Zephyr 29.
The Answer takes up most of a page so I'll scan it and e-mail it to you.
I recollect that the subject of paint on structures has been discussed a
number of times in this Group. Have you checked the
archives?
