Thanks for the information regarding these cars. Bill Heckman (owner/operator
of the Black Hills Central) must have had some good connections at the CB&Q at
the time when these cars were donated (late 1960s I'm guessing?) I know the
relationship deteriorated over the years, especially after BN took over,
because Heckman was often late to pay his bills. The situation came to a head
in the mid-1980s when the BN took him to court to get C&S 9 back.
