Thanks for the info, Ken. I have a slide dated June 15, 1961 of the C&S 620
cab at Hill City with glass intact and the awning still on it; my info says the
engine was scrapped in April 1961 (I don't know where). Black Hills Central
owner Bill Heckman had big plans to establish a railroad museum at Oblivion,
the half-way point of the tourist train, and I've always wondered why the CB&Q
didn't donate the entire locomotive instead of just the cab. C&NW gave them
4-6-0 444 in 1957.
