The other photos from mid 60's show red strips on the nose.  If the red had 
faded by '68 the black stripes would sort of be there with red also showing.   
The '68 photo does not show fading paint.   I vote that the '68 date is wrong 
on that photo.   Plus a gen. car is also on the dinky for HEP power.   They did 
come off when enough E units were available for comuter service as well as long 
haul.   Now lets move on to other business, we've beaten this to death.
