most of this flooding here is not from the mississippi river but the plum river 
after 8-12 inch of rain in 36-48 hours

Are there any reports on whether the Mississippi River has crested yet in 
the Savanna area? Does anyone know what the height of the water was there 
at crest? I was a student at Loras College in Dubuque in 1965 during one 
of the record crests ever recorded. That record escapes my memory but I 
can vividly recall getting a tetanus shot and working on the sandbag line 
trying to keep US 20 open from East Dubuque to Dubuque.
