OR look at any of the pst 1940's Loco assignment sheets that BRHS has reissued
(also one appears in one of Corbin's books & look for those with Steam
generators. Any such would have either been assigned to branch line pass
service like the Edgemont-Deadwood run or as 'protection' and thus may have run
at least once or even regularly "in the day".
For the record, C&NW used Geeps in local service with steam generators of course
