Most RR's changed the color of the TT # each issue so at a glance you knew
whether an Emp had the current issue: ie. today all 'blank' Div ETT's have RED
#'s; any Emp with a GREEN # has an outdated issue. As for numbering, they
were done consecutively every time there was a change necessitated by
new/revised but went back to "1" when the territory covered by the Div
changed. I.E. with consolidations & fewer Divisions, the enlarged existing
Divisions would re-start at #1. For example the Chicago & Aurora Div. went
back to #1 several times post-WWII as former Divs were rolled into it (like the
LaCrosse).

Subject: [CBQ] Employee TT's
what was the basis that the 'Q' designated the numbers and the color of the
numbers on employee time tables---numbers that have shown range from 1-60's and
colors of black-green-red--do the numbers and color have significant meaning of
something---thanks---jim young
