[CBQ] News on Ed DeRouin

Hi all,

I have some sad news regarding Ed DeRouin, fellow Burlington fan, author and
publisher.  Ed has been either hospitalized or in a care facility since
Christmas Eve and has recently been diagnosed with a very rare bone cancer.
The initial plan was for radiation and chemotherapy, however Ed had a
particularly bad reaction to the chemo drug and it has been decided to stop
the treatment and make him as comfortable as possible.  Ed is resting
comfortably in Illinois Masonic Hospital, 836 West Wellington Avenue,
Chicago, IL 60657.  He is very tired and is under the effects of pain
management medications.  If you are considering a visit, call me and I will
provide the number you need to call to check if the time you are planning to
visit would be a good one.  Your prayers, thoughts, emails and cards are
appreciated by Ed and his family during this difficult time.
