What has been the effect of the 1954 door on the structural integrity of the
car? Can the integrity be restored? Looks like the car depended a lot on
bracing members below the window line.

Yes we have made huge strides again today with siding and window sills, we also
discovered two more original windows....however they had been raided from C&S
529 sometime in the 1920's in Denver.
