In the late 60/early 70s the double decks had a more tan of a  beige 
interior paint before rebuild. The seats were either brown or green  and at one 
time there a regular plan of recovering them thru the upholstery  shop at 
Aurora. An old freinds father worked in that shop in the late 60s/early  70s. I 
recall the floors as brown and/or green tile. The lights were much  
different and used incandescent bulbs.The fun part was calling stops in all the 
 
cars before there were intercoms and the voice from the sky announcements.
As far as I know you could operate all the doors from one point since the  
cars were built and you could block off part of the string (deadhead  
cars,etc).
