I fail to see how the fact that the GNHS keeps their publications limited to 
members only would preclude them from participating in a joint meet.  I think 
its a great idea.  As a Q fan born about 15 years after the merger, what kind 
of animosity exists?  In terms of other joint meets, I had one of the C&NWHS 
officers express interest to me last weekend that our organizations should look 
into having a joint meet.  West Chicago would have been perfect for that.

   Sorry Gerald, but that would be a real issue.  The GNHS does not sell 
their publications to non-members - including those of obviously 
interested societies (like the BRHS).  They don't sell them through 
hobby shops either (unless this has all changed).  Which means, your 
concept of a true joint meeting and actually sharing information that 
would be of interest to all parties is somewhat problematical (as I'm 
sure the concept would also apply to other areas of information 
exchange). .  Unless they change their minds, or make a one time 
modification.
