[CBQ] Prewar coaches with crew dormitories

Apparently several prewar coaches were modified by turning one of the restrooms 
into a crew dormitory.  These cars were used on the Denver Zephyr as car DZ-40 
in the late 60's to carry short-distance passengers and provide dormitory space 
for coach attendants.
 
Which cars were modified for this service and when?
