[CBQ] Silk Trains on the Q

Yes - they operated them as much of the silk came to the Port of 
Seattle & thus was handled by GN &/or NP and then of course their CB&Q 
connection to Chicago.  Early public TT's list Silk trains in the fine 
print of misc ticket info along with Banana Messengers, Clergy, 
Circus, etc.  A bot off the subject but TT's, especially older ones, 
have a wealth of info beyond which train ran where & when.  I.E. which 
stations had lunch counters, brochures & maps available to the public, 
photos and date of new equipment (one issue had a major feature on the 
then new Chicago Union Station), principal towns, etc.   Gerald
