Stephen and Rupert
From a copy of the 1965 folio book the index lists the description for
the 10000 & 10001 as a XAP-5, the description lists the 10000 as XAP and
10001 as XM-6A then the drawing lists them as XAP-5 again. Both are
listed as "for Chevy service". The folio drawing shows seven panels to
the left of the doors and seven to the right. The end shows one
rectangular and 7 tapered ribs, would guess a 1-3-4. Remember folios are
not always accurate on detail. The other two types are not shown.
I have a slide of 10018 It shows seven panels on each side of two
sliding doors the doors are the rectangular panels like MDC uses and I
am drawing a blank tonight on the name. There is a white stripe across
both doors from lower left to upper right. Lettering says "HYDRAULIC
CUSHIONING". End is hard to see but lookes like above. By '78 both ends
had short ladders.
