The CB&Q gained control of this RR which was a former part of
Stilwell's empire (founder of Kansas City Southern) but did NOT absorb
due to anti-monoply concerns as Q would then have had both lines from
Quincy to Kansas City. However when it was abandoned in "39, parts
were absorbed into the Q's Centerville and Hannibal Div's. (same was
true of Iowa & St. Louis - kept "independent" to avoid anti-trust
