[CBQ] Photos of coal pocket

I was just in the photo gallery looking at the spring meet then started 
looking at the structure photos. In there are several photos of a coal 
tower? I have not seen it's style before so I have a couple of questions.

Where is it?

Was this style common?

Are there any available drawings?
